Control Hub: Q Active also supports physical formats via its control hub. It’s where all your physical formats connect to the system, and it’s where all of the incoming audio information is converted to a high-resolution 24bit/96kHz digital file.
Connections to the hub; TV Sound with HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC), The stereo RCA analogue output with line-levels for turntables, cassette deck or a mixer, Digital Optical Output for pretty much any game console, DVD/ CD player and Subwoofer Output to add explosive depth with an additional subwoofer.
Balanced Mode Radiators (BMRs) allow Q Active speakers to deliver outstanding sound quality across your entire listening area, rather than restricting it to the ‘sweet spot’ of more traditional driver arrangements. And, in addition to this widescreen presentation, BMRs deliver seamless midrange performance. Because they operate all the way down to 150Hz, where they hand over to Q Actives’ subwoofer driver, there is no midrange crossover distortion; completely clean midrange performance.
